The team of 18 cyclists pedalled 535km from Inverell to Newcastle this month, raising the funds to help families with sick and injured children.
And the total is expected to rise after a community ride finishes at the end of the month, in which people are raising money by riding on the road, in the gym, at the velodrome or at home.
Since the inaugural Ride for Sick Kids began in the region in 2005, cyclists have covered more than 8000km for Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW.
