More than 240 young female footballers from across northern NSW, including Damikah Barwick Taylor from Kootingal, are set to compete in the annual State Skill Acquisition Program Championship at C.ex International Stadium in Coffs Harbour next week.

Kicking off on Saturday 21 and running till Monday, teams will compete in 12-years and 14-years competitions. Damikah is in 12 years.
Peter Haynes, Northern NSW Football's head of football development, is looking forward to witnessing the talent that will be displayed across the three-day tournament.

"These championships provide us with the opportunity to identify potential players for future representative squads for Northern NSW Football at upcoming national championships as well as monitor potential players for other future development opportunities," Haynes said.
NNSWF technical advisor Leo Bertos will be monitoring the players.
