Norths United and South Armidale will line up this weekend with momentum in their favour after recording resounding wins in the final round of the regular season.
Liam Georkas found the back of the net four times as South Armidale romped home to a comprehensive 9-nil win over East Armidale.
"Doesn't really matter who you play. For 8, 9, 10 goals you have got to be in reasonable form so it was encouraging for us to put some in the net and keep a clean sheet, we haven't done that for a while either," Scorpions' president Joe Campbell said.
We are still quietly confident we can go deep into the semis.

It was a positive end to the season for Souths, whose form had been patchy of late with two losses and two draws from the four matches prior.
"It hasn't been great but we know we have been playing pretty good football, we just haven't been taking our chances and other teams are either getting a bit of luck or they are taking their chances," Campbell said.
"It makes a massive difference.
"We are still quietly confident we can go deep into the semis."

Norths finished round 21 with a 5-1 victory over cross-town rivals Demon Knights.
Jake Davies bagged a brace in the victory to push his season tally to 22, and to give him the prestigious golden boot award for the premier league season.
Davies and brother Kieran transferred to the Redmen this year after a successful stint at Easts and Norths' coach John Edmunds praised Jake for his efforts with the boot.
"He [Jake] hasn't let us down this year," he said.
"Came in early in the year and I said if he gives me a goal a game that would be great. He has played 18 games and has 20-odd goals so he delivered on that.
"Him and his brother Kieran have fitted very well and both been contributors to the club."
They will take on minor premiers Tamworth FC in Tamworth while the Scorpions host North Companions.
