Tamworth's Landan Price and Wee Waa's Dylan Smith will pad up for the ACT/NSW Country under-17s side at next month's national championships in Mackay.
After impressing at the recent under-17 State Challenge held in Coffs Harbour, the duo were named in the 14-strong squad, which will be seeking to repeat last year's performance.
ACT/NSW Country shared the title with Queensland after the final was washed out.
It will be the second nationals campaign Old Boys quick Price has been involved in this year after playing at the under-15s championships back in February.
The under-17s side will be led by Newcastle opening batsmen Jack Hartigan and coached by Cricket NSW Coaching and Talent Specialist for the Riverina and Western zone Greg McLay.
The former Blues off-spinner said it was pleasing to see the depth of talent in the ACT and NSW Country regions, commenting that performances at Coffs Harbour made selection that much harder.
Price and Smith were both featured among the wicket-takers, both picking up two.
"We have Charles Mitchell, Jayden Zahra Smith and Harrison Townsend returning after having being involved in the joint national title winning team from 2018," McLay said.
"Connor Cook, a (Cricket Australia XI) representative from 2018, is also in the team and will be one of the key spin bowlers."
The nationals will run from September 30 to October 10, and this year see each team play four round-robin matches to qualify for the semi-finals.
