After finishing the regular season as minor premiers, the senior men bowed out in straight sets, losing to the Gunnedah Bulldogs in the major semi final before going down to the New England Nomads in the preliminary final.
While it's a disappointing end for a side that many expected to go back to back, the club still has plenty to cheer for come grand final day.
The Saints will have their womens, under-17s and under-14s will all have a chance to take home a title at Wolsely Oval in Gunnedah on Saturday.
It all kicks off with the under-14s at 9.00am, with the Saints taking on the Glen Innes Celts.
The under-14s competition was introduced for the first time this season, with the three teams involved competing in a number of gala days throughout the season.
The Saints have been the most consistent side in the competition, winning 20 out of their 28 games, finishing first on the ladder and advanced straight through to the grand final to face off against the Celts.
The under-17s will follow in a rematch of last year's decider, with the Saints hoping to go back to back against the Moree Suns.
A strong second half from the Saints was the catalyst for their win over the Suns in the major semi final in Inverell. After being down by one point at half time they gained the momentum and came away with a 10-8-68 to 6-9-45 win.
The grand final will be played on neutral ground, and is set up for a tight affair, with the sides splitting their wins throughout the regular season.
Capping off the Saints involvement in the grand final is the women, who will take on the Tamworth Kangaroos in another rematch of last year's decider.
The Saints earned a thrilling one point victory in a low-scoring affair over the Kangaroos in the major semi final.
With the scores tied heading into the final quarter, a single behind was the only thing that separated the two sides in a 1-4-10 to 1-3-9 victory for the Saints.
They will be out for revenge in the grand final after going down to the Kangaroos a year ago.
