A recurring theme of the event being "we are not surrendering to drought", she said this had been reflected by exhibitor and visitor numbers, sales and leads.
Ms Nugent said late this morning organisers would achieve their target of 100,000 visitors, which was "incredibly pleasing".
And although they "recognise softer sales, nonetheless it's a boost to the economy".

Many exhibitors had reported money flowing in for, particularly, small farm machinery.
Croplands area manager Dave Farmer said it was "basically money in the bank" for its WEEDit line of spot sprayers.
By yesterday afternoon, local dealers NFSAg Gunnedah had taken deposits on two units, worth $280,000 each, for November deliveries.
"Farmers are wanting to get in on the new technology and they're saying 'Well, let's jump in now, get our name on the board and let's run with it,'" Mr Farmer said.
Ms Nugent said there were more anecdotes of pleasing sales and leads.
"We've got reports New Holland sold seven units up to yesterday ... one company, John Berends Implements, sold seven units that ranged between $15,000 and $30,000 each."
'Huge sense of hope'
Another highlight of the event, she said, was "a huge sense of hope, and an incredible amount of mateship, camaraderie and support".
"I've been talking to the farmers ... and they're stating it's an opportunity to clean the dams out that are dry," she said.
"They're taking the opportunity to get pest control in hand ... they are on the lookout for new, innovative ways of working.
"They know that it's challenging but they are seizing upon it as an opportunity."
She said the focus on planning for the future had made the event "a field of dreams - and if it rains, the dreams will come true".
For those needing a helping hand, the new Rural Relief Precinct has proved popular.
"It is good to see that people are seeking that help, advice and support, so it is great to be able to say that we do have it all here at AgQuip."
