Organisers said during the first half of the day that crowd numbers were pleasing, some of the indicators - such as car parking demand - bearing this out.
They said 3000-plus companies and 700-plus products and services would be represented at this year's event, which takes place on its dedicated site near Gunnedah.
The Northern Daily Leader scoped out some of the event early birds on Tuesday morning and into the afternoon.
Many had already been spending up big, including young Max Shearer of Burren Junction, who had been saving his pennies to buy a brand-new hat.
