Tamworth Airport: Classic Hornet aircraft training on August 20

There will be a little bit of extra activity at the Tamworth Airport this evening.
A single F/A-18B Classic Hornet aircraft from Number 2 Operational Conversion Unit will conduct diversion training into Tamworth Airport.
The aircraft will conduct instrument approaches and 'touch and go' landings as part of the final phase of fighter training for aircrew.

The aircraft is scheduled to complete the training between 6pm and 7pm.
The date and time for this activity are subject to variables including weather and operational availability.
Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military activity, and Air Force appreciates the ongoing support of the Tamworth residents and surrounding communities during these training activities.
