The Magpies are second on the first grade ladder and will stay there if they win the final round clash.
However if they lose, Kootingal-Moonbi will leapfrog them into second spot and play North Tamworth in the major semi.
That's enough to ensure the Magpies swoop, reckons co-coach Ron Dellar. "We've got more to play for," he said.
"Sure they will be tough. And we know they'll give it to us, they always do. And they will bring their best side too."
The Magpies have named a strong side as well.
'It won't change much from this now," Dellar said. "Maybe a few positional changes and a couple on the bench but this is close to our best side."

Boggabri coach Shane Rampling said he said made "just a couple of changes" from the side that lost to Gunnedah last round.
"Brock Sankey has work commitments," he said of the centre.
He has moved Matt Avendano to centre and named young Cameron Maxwell on the wing.
"Cameron's a good young kid - played a couple of reserve grade games for us and has a bit of speed," Rampling said.
"When he fills out he might make a good centre so we'll give him a run on the wing and see how he goes with a view to next season."
