Vying for a spot in the statewide round of 32, both schools boys and girls teams clashed in modified games to determine who would go onto the next round.
Tamworth Public School's girls team took to the field first, scoring a 4-0 win over Gunnedah South.

Gaining an early lead, Tamworth Public found the back of the net early and then set about ensuring their lead wouldn't be challenged with some strong defensive play.
From there, Gunnedah South struggled to get into the game, eventually going down 4-0.
The one-sided affair was not a sign of things to come as the boys match finished at 2-2, sending the game to extra time.
A converted penalty and and disallowed equaliser was eventually enough for Tamworth Public to sneak home 3-2 to set up a round of 32 clash with Ben Venue Public School.
