That was a decade ago, now, with more rhythm and a recording contract under their belt the boys are set for the 10th Anniversary Tour.
They've been busy smashing the stigma against male dancers since, Justice Crew member Lukas Bellesini said.
"That was kind of a turning point, once we won AGT we had reports from a lot of dance schools having a spike in male students enrolling," he said.
"There was a little bit of a taboo with boys dancing for some reason and we didn't know why it was a female-dominated art form.
"If you said you were a dancer you would get some rude comments, that's why we wanted to show boys can dance and it's about what you love to do."
The crew includes John Pearce, Lukas Bellesini, Paul Marciadez, Lenny Pearce, Solo Tohi and Samson Smith.
Since their debut as recording artists the group has been nominated for eight ARIA Music Awards and have toured with famous faces Janet Jackson, One Direction, Kesha and Pitbull.
Whenever the crew gets the chance they like to pop into the PCYC or community centre at the town they're performing in to teach a free dance class, Mr Bellesini said.
"We think everyone should get the chance to dance, if you're not in the right position to pay for classes there's no reason why it shouldn't be available," he said.
"It's a right and a privilege.
"It's not always about teaching dance moves but connecting and breaking the ice, kids open up to us and dance helps make them feel comfortable."
The performance is high-energy and audiences should expect to take part.
It's an exciting amalgamation of hip-hop and break dance with the crew's original songs, Mr Bellesini said.

"As you can imagine with six minds going into the one song there's a lot of brainstorming that goes on," he said.
"We're just really excited to bring our show to regional areas because you get a real sense of gratitude and they know how to turn up."
