Both sides traded blows on the scoreboard but could not be separated at the final whistle.

However, a superior goal difference sees Northies hang onto fourth place, five points behind South Armidale in third, 16 points behind North Armidale in second and 21 points behind Tamworth FC in first.
Both sides must now face a difficult final three weeks of the home and away season.
For North Companions, the run home includes a road trip to East Armidale, a home game against North Armidale and a bye.
While for the Mushies, the final three weeks will see them play host to the Demon Knights, travel to take on South Armidale and finish their regular season with a clash against ladder leaders Tamworth FC.
Demon Knights are also in the mix for a finals spot, sitting just three points out of fourth position in fifth.
As well as taking on the Mushies next week, Demon Knights will also clash with East Armidale and North Armidale in the final three rounds of the home and away season.
In the round's other action, North Armidale scored a comprehensive 12-1 victory over cross-town rivals East Armidale.
While in the other match, Tamworth FC proved too strong for Demon Knights, finishing with a 3-0 victory.
