A COP was allegedly kicked in the face while making an arrest in Glen Innes this weekend. Police officers were patrolling Wentworth Street on Friday night when they allegedly saw a man breaching an apprehended domestic violence order (ADVO). Officers arrested the 22-year-old man and were walking him to the police truck when he allegedly resisted, knocking one officer to the ground; that officer was then allegedly kicked in the face. READ MORE: She was treated in Glen Innes Hospital for a suspected broken nose and was kept under observation for several hours before being released. It's understood the officer will need further treatment next week. The man has been charged with two counts of assault police, as well as one count of resisting arrest and breaching an ADVO.
