Georgie Auld, Molly Elford, Jayden Etheridge, Aaron Frost Guider, Bridie Douglas, Lacey Newcombe, and Caitlyn Etheridge will all compete at Homebush after finishing either first or second in their respective events at the North West carnival.
Caitlyn Etheridge was one of the stars of the carnival winning gold in her 16 years girls 100m and long jump, and silver in the 200m, 400m and 100m hurdles.
It was a QHS quinella in the 400m with Auld claiming the gold.
Frost Guider won the 14 years boys high jump, while Douglas threw her way to gold in the 13 years girls discus and silver in the javelin.
Jayden Etheridge was second in both the 12 years boys long jump and high jump while Elford qualified in the 15 years girls 90m and 200m hurdles.
One of the highlights of the day from a QHS perspective was the performance of the 16 years girls relay team. The team of Caitlyn Etheridge, Auld, Newcombe and Elford ran a blistering time of 55.35secs to win the gold.
The state carnival will be held from September 4-6.
Etheridge just missed out on also qualifying for the triple jump finishing third.

Elford was likewise third in both her 15 years girls triple jump and long jump. She was also fourth in the shot put while Auld was fourth in the 200m.
Jess Butler and Sarah Edwards also produced podium performances with Butler third in the 13 years girls 200m and Edwards third in the 16 years girls 800m
A number of other QHS students competed well.
Riley Flemming made it through to the final in the boys 13 years 100m, while Ayden Crowther was fourth in the 16 years boys 800m, Riley Richardson fourth in the 16 years boys long jump, Tayla Brown fourth in the 12 years girls 200m and Annabelle Carter fourth in the 12 years girls long jump.
