It doesn't matter where you turn in this drought, times are tough across the board.

But the one thing that is rising to the top is the spirit of the bush, to push on.
Take the Tamworth water polo association for instance.
If we don't get substantial rain in the coming month, council says it may not fill the town pools this summer.
That would be devastating for recreational and professional sporting bodies alike.
But faced with such a prospect the water polo association has taken its thinking outside the box, with inflatable fields.
"We could take the inflatable field to any open water, like dams that still have water, or other pools and establish a fours competition with modified rules - instead of Beach 4's we could have Bush 4's," said organisers.
It's looking more like they will take the competition further afield, instead, but kudos for remaining positive and seeking a solution.
Of course, the other big story of the week was the passing of the Abortion Bill through the lower house of parliament.
National Party MP's were allowed a conscience vote on the issue, all of our MP's voted in favour of the bill.
There's no having it both ways on this one, you either support it or you don't.
My personal view is anything that improves health outcomes for women, especially in regional areas, should be embraced.
Statistics show this sort of legislation does not impact the number of women ultimately having abortions, but it will drastically improve the situation for many women living in our community.
And finally, calls for the government to cough up for a dual-pronged approach to Tamworth's water woes.
With the drought showing no sign of breaking, the water minister Melinda Pavey has proposed that some of the $75 million dollars already allocated for the Dungowan Dam upgrade be spent on a comprehensive business case "to get the project to the point where governments can make an investment decision".
Surely we've done enough talking on this one. Let's just get the 'dam' thing built. (pun intended) And if that means thinking beyond this term of government, well, blow me down, why not!
I don't know about you but have spent most of this weekend rugged up against the cold and that's where I intend to spend the rest of my Sunday. Enjoy!
