Fresh from upsetting competition leaders Workies, Kiwis drew 1-all with second-placed South United.
Workies then edged out Tudor Wests 2-nil, Calvin Farmilo and Toby Climpson finding the back of the net.
"I thought we played pretty well," Workies coach Andrew Farmilo said.
"We probably didn't execute as well in the 25 but defensively we were pretty good."
He pinpointed their energy as the big difference to the previous week.
"I don't know what it was last week but we just didn't seem to have that zip," he said.
"This week everyone was full of running."

It did help that they played before second grade, which meant everyone was fresh.
Earlier Angus Doyle had given Souths the advantage after about 15 minutes. Kiwis got on level terms courtesy of Toby Climpson right on half-time and there was no change to the score after that.
Kiwis coach Josh Worpel said lamented their execution in the circle of times, feeling it was a game they certainly could have won.
"When we were going forward we weren't quite smart enough with our options going into the circle," he said.
"If we had of got those right we would have put a few more (goals) away."
"At same time our work-rate has finally lifted and we're finally defending properly."
That is enabling them to play a lot better.
It was a big defensive effort in the second half with Souths having a few opportunities from corners to break the nil-all deadlock.
"Alex Taggart and Craig Mackay held it up there," he said.
Currently third, Worpel said their work-rate has been one of the keys to getting them into a good position the last couple of games.
"We didn't stop at all," he said.
