A lot has changed for the country music artist in her 12-year hiatus from the industry, she raised a son, and sadly lost a child on her 39th birthday.
It's taken her more than a decade to be able to speak publicly about it, and longer to share the emotion of it through her song, Milestones. "It's heartbreaking, as a female I thought there was something wrong with me," she said.

"Nobody really talks about it, women don't randomly come up to you and say they have endometriosis and struggle to get pregnant.
"I had to decide whether I wanted to be sad for the rest of my life or be grateful for what I've got."
Jeffreys suffers from both endometriosis and fibrosis, but she got through the loss of her baby with her husband and album producer Rod McCormack by her side.
The album name, Beautiful Tangle, is a line out of the song Unravel, the only song Jeffreys has ever recorded that she wrote completely on her own.
"I dreamed it, that's never happened to me before," she said.
"It's about when you have a beautiful history together as a couple, your heart strings are tied together and when you pull apart it tightens the knots."
The album takes a new direction, it's Earthy, raw and acoustic, carried by traditional bluegrass instruments and harmonies. It features a duet with Lee Kernaghan.
The song He Still Wants to Dance With Her is inspired by Jeffreys' parents who met decades earlier at a town dance.
Now in their 70's, the pair still love to dance around the kitchen together and are very much in love.
"We go back a long way, I used to open for him and Rod was in his band before we were a couple," Jeffreys said.
"It felt right to do it with Lee."
Jeffreys will bring her new music to Tamworth Country Music Festival next year on January 22, her album is released on Friday.
"I'm really proud of this album, it took us ten years because we recorded it five years ago and scrapped it - this one's honest, heartfelt and vulnerable," she said.

"I like who I became as a result of that, I'm more compassionate, kind and grateful and you can hear in the lyrics and songs that I'm different."
