Why don't the Feds give these funds to NSW State as the training isn't relevant as we have to comply to RMS.
Another system called Jobs Action Plan was in place for the new employee who has been trained and this eliminated Payroll Tax closed on 1st July, 2019 and we weren't advised re this.
Surely employees paying tax and GST assists governments to survive without doing a tax that prevents employment.

Abortion bill debate
Here we go again ("Abortion Bill to be debated, August 6). While I believe that such an important issue as the termination of a pregnancy should be carefully debated to hear both sides of the issue, I am very concerned when it deteriorates into who can use the most alarming hyperbole and fear-inspiring rhetoric to try to bludgeon any opposition with their particular view.
The letter from your Kentucky correspondent only demonstrates the way individuals will use anything to turn up the heat of the debate with alarmist exaggerations. In the first few paragraphs he uses the terms "merchants of death", "dark arts", "genetic manipulation", "Nazi ethnic cleansing", "Soviet population improvement" and "the Chinese 'One Child' policy". His reference to "unborn nuisances" as the motive behind termination is both offensive to me and naive, and his link to the disabled in our community is heartless.
As with the same-sex marriage debate, this issue has stirred the depths of emotions that lead to lies, threats and gross propaganda. What is clearly noticeable, though, is that the vitriol in this debate is also being waged mainly by males from the religious right including a rump of politicians who place their personal beliefs ahead of those of their electorate.
The majority of the electorate supports the moderate changes to the termination laws in order to give women control over their own bodies in protecting their health. Decent, civil debate, with a complete understanding of what is proposed, should be the aim to ensure that the best outcome is achieved. (And perhaps only women should be given the vote).
As well, I can agree with your correspondent's assertion that our society is losing its ethical and moral values, but I lay that at the feet of our political class whose questionable and self-seeking behaviours have gradually destroyed our democracy. Protecting the well-being of the vulnerable women in our community is, in fact, a moral and ethical positive.
