Detectives moved on Thursday afternoon, arresting the male less than a day after the stabbing occurred during a home invasion in Robert Street.

The offender fled the scene and police were alerted.
Police said the victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening and he was in a stable condition in hospital.
Earlier on Thursday, Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy said investigations revealed the attack was not random.
"Investigators believe the incident was targeted and not a random attempted robbery," he said.
"We are appealing for public help and appealing for witnesses, but there is no cause for community alarm, because inquiries suggest it was a targeted incident."
Officers seized an early-model Mazda on Thursday but are trying to piece together the movements of the car.
"Detectives are following a number of lines of inquiry," Detective Darcy said.
"Police have seized the vehicle for forensic examination and we're piecing together the movements of that vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.
"We would appeal for anyone that has home CCTV cameras or dashcam footage, that might have seen the 2000-model red Mazda 626 sedan in Robert Street or the West Tamworth area, to come forward.
"That information is crucial to the police investigation and we are appealing for public help."
