Barnaby and NewStart
I write in support of the Member for New England Barnaby Joyce in his call to increase the NewStart Allowance and I would urge all rural based Liberals and Nationals MP's to support his call for such an increase.

Full time work remains important but in the case of genuine jobseekers who need a little extra assistance the increase in NewStart is a compassionate measure to give those people a hand up.
I note that a former Prime Minister and Fraser government Treasurer in John Howard has also called for an increase, and as has former Opposition Leader, John Hewson.
And as a Coalition voter myself, I proudly will as well, they understand the need for all Australians to strive forward and live in comfort and dignity.
We can help the unemployed get work and give them a more compassionate way to live.
Good on you Barnaby Joyce for speaking up.

Podcasts
If you have important information, like water levels and day zeroes, please don't inflict a podcast on your adoring public.
There's nothing worse than listening to someone of limited erudition stumbling and coughing their way through an attempted explanation of a potentially complex matter.
Get them to put their thoughts on paper. It's quicker to read than listen and it will help the author marshall his/her thoughts.

Barnaby's water grid
Great idea Barnaby, hope it is better than the power grid, cheaper power ... no, cheaper water, definitely not.
Small irrigators can't afford so the milk will come out of the cows, and the few that can get paid less per litre than they get to buy water.
Shame on all political parties for allowing this to happen, time for a push back.
I hope all the city slickers have to pay top prices for China products as we give ours away for near to free just like natural gas, iron ore etc.
Politicians have to be brought to justify their deals of selling off Australian utilities, water, electricity and gas in control of other countries.
It worked when state and federally owned and run when you way up the result we leave our kids and grandkids, ... you voted them in, our next gens pay the shameful price.
