After year's of planning, the couple's vision of a locally-sourced restaurant and microbrewery is starting to come together, with Tamworth Regional Council approving a development application for a venue that can cater for up to 150 people.
"We're very excited to see the DA approved, now we are fine tuning a few design features," Mr McIntosh said.
"The reaction has been overwhelming positive. People are certainly excited for a local on-farm brewery."
In approving the project, council requested galvanised iron or Zincalume is used for re-roofing to protect the integrity of the original building, something Mr McIntosh said was not a problem.
Narree McIntosh said the end product would be a "cutting-edge modern design, with some rustic features".

The pair have also been working hard on the other important part of a brewery - the beer.
"We've had a good inquiry from existing brewers around Australia and overseas," Mr McIntosh said.
"We're really looking around for the right fit."
The McIntoshs plan to source their ingredients from a 100-mile radius.
"We're a lot more aware of what local produce is out there," Mr McIntosh said.
"It's amazing what is produced in the area. We'll be reaching out to growers in due course and hopefully we'll be able to incorporate them in to our business."
Mrs McIntosh said once finished, the woolshed would compliment outdoor weddings the property hosts.
"We do boutique weddings and cap it at a handful a year, so it's a unique experience," Mrs McIntosh said.
"The woolshed will double as a wet-weather venue."
The pair hope to start construction before the end of the year and finish in early 2020.
"We want to make the brewery a destination, a place to keep mum and dad happy, but also entertain the kids," Mr McIntosh said.
"Hopefully if can become another draw card for tourism, because that will benefit not only us, but the wider business community."
