The Kootingal-Moonbi Roosters will champion a charity close to their community when they run onto Kootingal Oval against the Boggabri Kangaroos on Saturday.

Every year the Roosters select a charity to support - and this year it is Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Jumpers from all the grades will be auctioned at the Kootingal Hotel after the match, advised club president Lad Jones.
"The jumpers were designed by Kerry Sharpe," he said.

Kerry is the wife of Roosters first-grade coach Geoff and mum off the side's captain, Jordan.
She said various charities had been selected over the last decade for Kooty to support on the annual happening.
It is always a charity with links to the local community - and this year is no different.
The JDRF is a leading global organisation for funding research into type-one diabetes.
Kerry's eldest grandson, Ashton, was diagnosed with the disease when he was three years old. He is now eight.
"It's a crippling horrible disease," she said.
"We thought we'd highlight that this year."
All money raised from the day will go to the foundation.
Jones said that could be a good amount given the auctioneers they have arranged.
"We've got a few good auctioneers - Chris Gooch, Dan Greenewood and Mitch Dines - to do the auctioneering for us," he said.
"Two of them (Dines and Greenewood) played for us and Chris played for Dungowan. They all go all right on the microphone."
It will be a big day for the club on the field as well - with the first grade, second grade and league tag sides all running second in their respective competitions.
Kooty's under-18s are fourth.
"They are all important games for us," Jones said.
"All the comp games from here into the semis are important."
The Rooster first-grade side is in form after good wins and can "cement second spot with a win over Boggabri", Jones said.
"We've shown some good signs the last three or four games, especially in defence," he said.
