Coming into Saturday's clash off the back of a 38-point loss to the New England Nomads, the Kangaroos made the Saints work for every goal.
Elliot Bowen proved to be a vital weapon for the home side, kicking five goals for the game and helping the Roos take a seven-point lead into quarter time.

From there, Saints midfielders Hayden Chappel and Lachie White stood up kicking two goals apiece to help the visitors get across the line 10-18-78 to 9-5-59.
Joshua Worpel was named the Roos' best in the 19-point loss, while Anthony Pages claimed best-on-ground honours for the Saints.
The victory sees the Saints hang on to second place on the AFL North West ladder behind the undefeated Gunnedah Bulldogs.
Meanwhile, the loss sees the Roos tumble out of the top four after the Tamworth Swans defeated the New England Nomads 14-13-97 to 12-13-85.
The Roos will now look ahead to a bye this weekend, while the Saints prepare for a top-of-the-table showdown against the Gunnedah Bulldogs at Varley Oval.
