THE Tamworth Sports Dome was a hive of activity on Saturday as youngsters took to the netball courts for the opening day of the National Primary Games.
Teams from around the region and the state battled it out during an action-packed opening day of competition.
More than 600 rising netball starts took to the courts on the first day of the two-day competition, all vying to finish the day with a winning record.
More than 1500 people flocked to the Sports Dome's outdoor courts to take in the first day of the growing competition.
The competition will continue on Sunday with teams still vying for a finals position.
Day two action begins at 8.30am at the Tamworth Sports Dome.
