The Royal Australian Mint will hold a pop-up roadshow in Tamworth's Fitzroy Plaza on Tuesday, July 23, from 9am to 4pm.
The Bold, the Bad and the Ugly Roadshow is the mint's four tour and recognises the significance of the lasting impact the bushranging era has had on Australia, including its role in shaping Australian art, literature, music, culture, and the myth of the Australian larrikin.
The public will be able to strike an Australian counterstamp on to their own special edition $1 coin, which depicts a scene of the classic Australian bushranger and the brave colonial trooper, reflecting the drama and action of the time.

The coin's packaging also features the stories of six of Australia's colonial bushrangers, including New England's own Captain Thunderbolt.
Frederick Ward and his Aboriginal partner, Mary Ann Bugg, carried out a bushranging spree from the Hunter Valley to the Queensland border.
Known as Captain Thunderbolt and The Captain's Lady; Ward and Bugg's story has become legendary.
Other infamous bushrangers to be featured include Brave Ben Hall, Captain Moonlite, the Kenniff Brothers, Mad Dog Morgan and Moondyne Joe.
The tour has already hit Newcastle, where people were lining up before it opened to get their hands on the limited edition coins.
