AN open house will be held on Friday, July 26 in the Sunset View Estate for those planning to downsize into one of Reddy Quality Homes' villas.
People with queries about downsizing, or who would like to inspect a villa, are invited to unit 1, 40 Francis Avenue between 11am and 2pm.
"There is a plan to deal with concerns that people have and work out a plan to complete the downsizing transition," Reddy Quality Homes owner Tom Campanelli said.
"One area that many people are considering is the purchase of a unit with a view to renting it out for a period of time before they make their own downsizing move.
"By taking this approach, they know they have secured a place to meet their needs when required.
"With the increasing shortage of appropriate accommodation to support this segment of the housing industry, planning ahead is becoming more important each year.
"There are a large number of people seeking rental accommodation which will support this approach to securing long term security in the senior housing market."
Sunset View Estate in North Tamworth, just off Johnson Street, will supply 10 independent seniors villas in five separate buildings.
The planned grouping of the units will create a small community where the occupants can interact with their neighbours.
"The units each have a two-car garage, two bathrooms and two bedrooms, along with an ergonomic kitchen and large living space leading to a private covered al fresco," Mr Campanelli said.
"The design of the units provides for wide doorways and hallways, minimum of steps, walk-in showers, full wall insulation, full ceiling insulation, double glazed windows and ducted reverse cycle heating and air conditioning.
"These units will keep the occupants comfortable in either summer or winter with a minimal cost and a one-button, 'set it and forget it' control system. All lighting is low energy LED lights.
"These are quality units which have considered the comfort of the buyers." There are no fees involved in the purchase, maintenance or disposal of the property.
