Makenna Barnett-Suey has been selected in the 40-strong NSW under-13 girls hockey squad.
The squad, announced on Tuesday, will gather in Port Macquarie at the end of July for trials.
The trials will see all 40 members of the squad vie for a place in either the NSW Lions or NSW Stars teams, which will compete at the national under-13 hockey championships later this year.

Barnett-Suey's selection in the squad, comes a week after Tamworth's Hayden Constable, Jack Marshall and Blake Scicluna were selected in the under-13 boys squad.
Barnett-Suey is not the region's only representative destined to trial at Port Macquarie.
Hockey New England's Charlotte Portell and Ava Vaughan have also been selected in the squad.
All three girls will be up against the state's best in Port Macquarie as they fight for selection in the two state teams.
This year's under-13 girls and under-13 boys national championships will be held in Hobart during October.
