Looking to solidify third place on the ladder, the Nomads hosted the Roos at Bellevue Oval and got off to a good start, leading by eight points at the first change.
The second term remained tight as both sides traded goals. The Nomads held onto a slender seven-point lead at the main break.

After half -time, both sides key forwards put on a show as David Richards (three goals) and Clarence Baker (two goals) looked to keep the Nomads ahead.
Elliot Bowen (five goals) and Shaun Stevenson (two goals) ensured the Roos stayed in touch, trailing by 12 points at the final change.
However, a final-quarter fade out saw the Roos add just three behinds, while the Nomads piled on four more goals to run out 14-13-97 to 8-11-59 winners.
Wulu Hall was named the Nomads best player, while Luke Robinson and Shane Lindsay were the Roos' best.
In the round's other game, the Gunnedah Bulldogs claimed a forfeit victory over the Moree Suns.
