It is no coincidence that Boggabri's form spike has coincided with Dylan O'Brien's increasing influence on contests.
As Boggabri prepare to face North Tanmworth at Jack Woolaston Oval on Sunday - in a match they need to win to keep fanning their finals hopes - Roos vice-president Jason Kemp has spoken about O'Brien's importance to the side in the halves.
Kemp said O'Brien had "fitted in really well" after joining the side this season.
"He's really started to find his feet for us in the last month," Kemp said.
"He's got a really good kicking game, and he's a good defender.
"He stays calm under pressure to lead the boys around the field well, playing either five-eighth or halfback."
The last time Boggabri played North Tamworth, on May 19, the Bears won 84-0.
The Bears have not lost since then, while the Roos are a vastly improved side.
They beat Dungwoan and Narrabri, while suffering narrow losses to Gunnedah and Werris Creek.
The Roos are coming off a bye. Norths beat Dungowan 44-16 last round.
