On Tuesday, local musician Brendan Nawrocki put a plea on Facebook for anyone " who has ever sat on a blue loo, or ever driven the blue porcelain bus to to hear your stories and the whereabouts of this uniqueness" - a blue Fowler Killara Vintage rear exit toilet pan.
"I know this is a long shot and not a long drop, but a cash reward will be offered for locating the whereabouts of ancient bathroom art such as the one shown in the picture, please share and see if wee can drop one of these blue beauties off," the post read.

The hunt started innocently enough, after an excavator driver accidentally bumped an old pipe outside a house being renovated in Tamworth, cracking the prized head inside.
"I was doing the painting on the house, and the owner really wanted to replace it, so I thought I would just help her out, but it has been hard to find," Mr Nawrocki said.
"So, if someone has one and hates it, and many people do, we would love to get it, and will even replace it with a brand new piece of white in shining armour in exchange for bluey if necessary."
While the search has been going on for several months, Mr Nawrocki has had some good news, and some bad.
The bad news came from a local plumber, who said the blue toilets "were so ugly the first thing many plumbers do is put a hammer through them", however there could be a light at the end of the s-bend.
"A lady from Nundle got in touch, and said she thinks she has one, but she is away, so I haven't been able to check if it is the right model - it could be a winner."
