Despite the wet weather hundreds attended the ceremony on Monday morning, before another good crowd braved the conditions for the Tamworth Regional Council flag raising ceremony on Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday the activities will well and truly kick-off with the Fun Footy Day and Bamara Bubble Soccer Tournament at Gipps Street sports fields, before Wednesday will witness the Youthie light up with a movie serving as the curtain raiser to the highly anticipated State of Origin decider, with numerous Indigenous players taking the field for both sides.
On Thursday culture will go under the spotlight as the lands council host the Cultural Knowledge and Sharing Day from 9.15am, before the entire community is invited to attend the annual NAIDOC March from 9am on Friday, followed by the Family Fun Day at Bicentennial Park.
