Held at Frost Over Barraba festival, vintage Volkswagens and car lovers come from all across the state to have a squiz.
New this year is a petting zoo for the kids, co-organiser Peter Dwyer said.
"It all started about four years ago, Shaun [Faulkner] and I were sitting down and I pretended I didn't hear him because I've been involved in things before and know how hard it can be," he laughed.
"In the end I had to acknowledge him, so we went to the senior people in Frost and they were very excited.
"Last year we were astounded, 1200 people came to the car show and for a little town like Barraba that's pretty significant."
With $7000 worth of fireworks on display the event is highly anticipated.
There will also be a jumping castle and face-painting for kids, while adults can indulge in a number of market food stalls while they peruse the vintage vehicles.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Support Group will run a barbecue to raise funds for the life-saving service.

Each year the numbers are getting bigger, Mr Dwyer said.
"We really need people to come to town and support the businesses with this drought we're in.
"It's a chance to boost up the businesses, with the drought everyone is doing it hard.
"As the word spreads people are starting to notice it a bit more." The car show is expected to feature more than 20 vintage beetles and Kombi vans and is held on at the Barraba RSL Club on Saturday July 6.
Entry to the show is free, for information visit the Frost Over Barraba website.
