The team from Price Attack wielded the clippers as five people said goodbye to their luscious locks, raising more than $1400 for SecondBites, a charity that works with big retailers like Coles to provides food to more than 1400 local charities around the country.
Coles is selling $2 donation cards for the SecondBites winter driver, and every purchase helps the charity provide enough food for 10 meals for those who are doing it tough.
Coles Tamworth Central store manager Toni Cooper said the team had already exceeded their goal of $1000, an achievement everyone is very proud of.
"We've at least doubled what we raised last year," Ms Cooper said.
"It's a really good cause, and the team feels very passionately about it, so it's great to see a good result at the end of it - especially given that it's winter and it'll help get food on the table for people who need it."
Nationwide, Coles is aiming to raise $1 million.
