Gunnedah High School student Adam McGuirk recently set off on the tour with the NSW Combined High Schools (CHS) open-age men's cricket team.
Plying his trade during the summer for Old Boys Cricket Club in the Tamworth District Cricket Association, McGuirk made a strong case for selection with several strong performances.

Also helping his push for selection was a starring performance for Central North during the country championships earlier in the year.
The young batsman also performed well during the Gunnedah District Cricket Association's annual Twenty20 competition, acting as a co-captain for his side.
The tour will see the NSW side come up against some of the best junior cricketers Australia and the United Kingdom has to offer.
McGuirk will compete on the tour throughout the coming weeks.
