Looking to solidify their position in the top four, the Swans were on the back foot early as the Saints piled on eight goals to one in the first term.
The punishment continued as the Saints went on to record a 25-20-170 to 6-2-38 victory over the Swans.
Joseph Kimmince with six goals also impressed for the Saints, while Jesse Verdouw booted three for the Swans.

Saints coach Justin Pay said his side gave "full intensity" throughout the 132-point win.
"As well as intensity, I asked the boys for composure around the footy and I thought we moved the ball pretty well all day," Pay said.
"All year we have pushed the guys to become a four-quarter football side and you can't do that unless you jump out of the gates early like we did today [Saturday]."
Having spent the majority of the season on the wing, Pay said Gobbert jumped at the chance to play forward.
"It was great to see Marli back on the goal kickers list," he said.
"He has spent most of the season up on the wing, learning a new role and this was his first game up forward.
"What I have been telling Marli every week is that the goals will come, his tackling pressure is what I really want him to focus on.
"He, Lachie White (three goals) and Tyler Desborough (three goals) executed that tackling pressure and really laid the platform for us."
The Saints will be looking to keep their winning run going when they play host to the New England Nomads in round 10.
The Swans will look to bounce back from the loss when they take on the Gunnedah Bulldogs at Tamworth No.1 Oval.
