IT WAS a hectic weekend of call-outs for the Tamworth rescue chopper which was flying out across the region.
There was no sleep for the chopper crew on Saturday night with a urgent medical transfer from Moree to John Hunter Hospital for a 56-year-old woman.
The crew had only refuelled before responding to a call from Nundle to take an 86-year-old man to Tamworth hospital.
Both patients required urgent specialist treatment for serious medical conditions.
Earlier on Saturday, the chopper team flew to Merriwa hospital at 4pm after two girls were injured when the quad bike they riding on rolled.
The girls, aged 7 and 10, were taken to Newcastle in a stable condition.
The younger girl had a suspected broken arm, while the elder had minor injuries.
