The website reported the 2.1 magnitude earthquake on Thursday at 8.38pm Coordinated Universal Time which is 6.38am Australian Eastern Standard Time.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.1 sits just about the microearthquake category and is not usually felt except by a very few under especially favourable conditions.

It's not the only time earthquakes in the area have been felt.
In September 2018, the Muswellbrook Shire experienced a string of earthquakes over three days.
Five were registered in total.
One of the quakes, which were of a magnitude of 3.4, was the strongest EPSO (Edward Pigot Seismic Observatory) ground motion logged since April, 2014.
