A WOMAN has been charged with allegedly defrauding an elderly woman of almost $60,000 over several months.

The 46-year-old Inverell woman is accused of using the bank card from the elderly woman in Bingara on multiple occasions between July last year, and January this year.
Police were called in when the victim discovered the card missing in January and found it had been used on 80 occasions without her knowledge.
It's the police case that the 46-year-old woman allegedly used the victim's ATM card to withdraw funds from a bank account.

Following investigations, police raided a Lindsay Avenue home in Inverell this week where they seized a car and furniture.
The 46-year-old was arrested and taken to Inverell Police Station where she was questioned by investigators and charged with nine counts of fraud as well as dealing with the proceeds of crime.
She's been granted conditional bail to front court in mid-July.
