Our greatest advocates for the region are our residents, so we encourage them to drop into their nearest distribution point to pick up a copy and show it off to their visiting family and friends.

"Our greatest advocates for the region are our residents, so we encourage them to drop into their nearest distribution point to pick up a copy and show it off to their visiting family and friends," Mr Sommerlad said.
He said friends of locals accounted for a decent proportion of the the region's tourism.
"We're very excited to be launching the new Tamworth region visitor guide which showcases fantastic experiences in our region," he said.
"A large driver of tourism to the region continues to be the visiting friends and relatives market, with over a third of our domestic overnight visitors fitting into that category."
The new visitor guide is also a chance for the council to spruik its newest event, National Thunder.
The event, slated for the October 2020 long weekend, has been pitched as the only national motorbike rally or all manufacturers in Australia.
The guide also includes an update about the National Guitar Museum which will be opened in the old visitor information centre which the council purchased earlier in the year.
Stage one of the National Guitar Museum will be open for visitors prior to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January, 2020.
