It was the second time the Tamworth High alumnus has fought on the Thai resort island, having sensationally KOed a Thai opponent in the first round in his overseas debut this time last year.
Writing on Facebook, McCulloch's trainer, Scott Chaffey, said the teen stopped the unnamed Thai in the third round with a barrage of leg kicks and elbows.
Chaffey wrote that "once again I couldn't be more proud of not how well you fought but how hard you trained leading up to your fight absolutely brilliant".
McCulloch - the 58kg national full-Thai-rules champion and the 58kg NSW champion - improved his record to 13 wins against two losses and a draw.
"It was an amazing experience getting to fight in one of the big local stadiums," McCulloch said of the bout at Rawai Boxing Stadium.
"It was great to get a win against an older and heavier opponent. And I got to use all eight [muay thai] weapons unpadded, which was great."
Since finishing high school last year, McCulloch, a KFC manager, has boosted his training and his fight frequency as he chases a world title.
In his previous fight, he had a five-round win over 57kg NSW state champion Ibrahim Abousaleh at Doyalson Wyee RSL - a fight Chaffey described as his charge's toughest to date and a "stepping stone" to a world title shot.
