The council is hungry to reclaim its title as the country's biggest blood donor.
Staff and councillors will be rolling up their sleeves en masse in a bid to reclaim the Australian Red Cross Blood Service's Red25 title.
Tamworth missed out on a taking home a treble of titles last year after being pipped at the post by a Sydney council after two consecutive wins.

The region made 265 donations in 2018, which helped save 795 lives.
Last year's tally was up on the 2017 count, which totalled 224 donations
"This year we are calling on our community, family and friends to add their donation to our tally to help us again bring home a win," mayor Col Murray said.
"As a regular blood donor, I'm especially pleased about how Tamworth Regional Council has a strong national standing with the Councils Blood Challenge."
Any community member who donates blood or plasma at the Tamworth blood bank can ask to be known as a "family and friend" of the council which will mean their donation will add to the region's official tally.
Cr Murray, a regular donor, said there was a serious side to the competition with an aim to keep donations trickling-in throughout the year.
"Our hope is that our efforts inspire other community members to become blood donors," he said.
The challenge runs from July 1 to September 30.
"It's not difficult and it can save lives - just pop in and see the friendly team at the Tamworth Donor Centre or call 13 14 95," he said.
