Two teams battled it out in the weekend-long round-robin tournament, with both finishing in fifth place.
Tamworth junior hockey convener Lou Giddings said the finishes were an improvement on past carnivals.
"The girls played really well throughout the whole weekend," Giddings told the Leader.
"Both sides played their heart out and only conceded two or three goals for the whole carnival.
"They all had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the experience."

The impressive performances continued for Tamworth, with Sam Griffiths and Ben O'Connor selected to umpire the division four grand final.
"It was fantastic to see those boys selected to umpire a final in their first-ever state carnival," Giddings said.
"They did a great job throughout the whole carnival and deserved that recognition. Honestly, it is a massive achievement and both boys should be super proud of themselves."
The carnival acted as platform for two of the squad's brightest stars to earn themselves a spot in the NSW under-15 development squad.
"Ruby Sparkes and Morgan English both earned a spot in the development team," Giddings said.
"It's a fantastic achievement for both of them and they both truly deserve that honour."
