Hazell was clinical in Workies 7-2 victory, but he had help from four other individual goal scorers.
Issac Farmilo, Toby Climpson, Lachlan Butler and Andrew Farmilo also found the back of the net in the five-goal victory.
George Nash and Chris Taggart were a shining light for the Kiwi Diggers, scoring one goal apiece.

Workies coach Andrew Farmilo said while he was happy with his side's victory, there were aspects of the performance that needed improvement.
"Our finishing in front of goal wasn't as good as it could of been on the day," Familo told the Leader.
"It could have potentially been a bit more comfortable a win for us had we finished a bit better, so I'm only sort of happy.
"However, it's not something we do poorly regularly, I think it was just one of those games and full credit to Kiwis, they made us work for it."
Currently sitting atop the Tamworth Hockey Association ladder, Farmilo said the team would be looking to "get on a roll" in the coming weeks.
"We are on top at the moment, but only just," he said.
"Hopefully we can string a few decent performances together in the next few weeks and build a bit of momentum coming into the finals.
"It's a pretty even competition this year, so wins will be at a premium for us."
In the round's other action, hat tricks from Sam Clifton and Nick O'Connor saw Souths United account for Tudor Wests 6-1.
Noah Pitt was Tudor Wests only goal scorer for the game.
