Spackman booted six goals in the Bulldogs' 102-point dismantling of the Kangaroos at No.1 Oval on Saturday. The unbeaten competition leaders won 22.31-163 to 9.7-61.
And while the Roos are still searching for their first win this season, Gunnedah have received a slingshot into their home clash against the Nomads on Saturday.
Spackman, the leading goalscorer in 2019 with 33 majors, said "it's looking good" for Gunnedah.
"It's feeling like it was two years ago," he said, adding: "Last year we were struggling to get a team every week ... This year we've got a good core of guys that are willing to train, which is giving us the results on the weekends."

Spackman said the current side were probably as strong the club's premiership-winning outfit, although the 2019 Dogs had more younger players than the 2017 side. That, he continued, was a good thing "moving forward".
"So, the club's going in right direction ... The numbers are good and the boys are training hard.
"We're just trying to do what the new coach [Doug Meagher] wants us to play and just improve in areas each week, which is what we did yesterday [Saturday]."
Against the Kangaroos, Gunnedah extended a five-point first-quarter lead into a 51-point halftime margin, after kicking eight goals to two in the second quarter.
The margin was extended to 68 points at the end of the third quarter.
