Sitting sixth on the Premier League ladder, a win on Saturday and a loss for the Demon Knights would see the Mushies come back within striking distance of the top four.
Despite sitting second last on the ladder, O'Keefe believes his side is "not far away" from getting back to their best.
"We have been doing a lot of things right this season but not quite been getting the results on the scoreboard," O'Keefe told the Leader.
"Our defence is looking solid and our midfielder has worked really hard as well.
"I do think at times this season we have let ourselves down a bit up front by being a bit selfish.
"So, that's why I'm really hoping the boys can play team football this weekend."

O'Keefe said he was wary of his fifth-placed opponents and is "taking nothing for granted".
"Northies have some really damaging, fast players, so we will have our work cut out for us," he said.
"They have had some good results and will be playing with a lot of confidence.
"This will be a tough test for us."
O'Keefe said playing in their second of three games for the season at Scully Park was a highlight on the team's fixture.
"Playing at Scully Park really is an enjoyable experience," he said."
"Everyone lifts a bit because of where they are playing.
"It does take away a bit of the home field advantage so Northies will be tough to beat for sure."
