Fresh off the back of a 7-0 victory over long-time rivals Quirindi FC, Gunnedah will be looking to atone for their only loss of the season, which came at the hands of the Lightning in round two.
After the 2-1 defeat and a subsequent 3-3 draw with Moore Creek, FC went on a tear, winning four straight games.

The most recent win against last year's premiers was set up by a hat trick from Duncan Thomson, and goals from Boyd McCormack, team captain Matt Williams, Robert Pryor and Charlie Lawrence.
Williams said he was "quite pleased with how the team played".
"It was really good to have a solid win and keep a clean sheet against a tough opponent," Williams said.
"I think it would have given our guys a great deal of confidence heading into this weekend's game against the Lightning."
Williams praised his side's defensive efforts against Quirindi and said it was an area of improvement for his side this season.
"Duncan Thomson was so good for us up front with a hat trick on the weekend," he said.
"He has come into his own after moving from the midfield a few weeks ago.
"Boyd McCormack and David Silver have been really strong for us as well. Hopefully those guys can keep it going and as a side we continue to improve."
Gunnedah FC's reserve grade team will also be preparing for a top-of the-table clash with Lightning on Saturday after claiming an 8-0 victory over Quirindi FC.
"It's really good to see both of our sides in strong positions at this stage of the season," Williams said.
"We have a pretty strong squad this season and it is really exciting to see the hard work paying off."
