Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the New England Highway north of Uralla as part of work to widen Saumarez Creek Bridge.

The bridge widening work is part of the New England Highway safety upgrade, funded from the Saving Lives on Country Roads program, and includes some road closures to allow for the safe installation of 10 pre-cast concrete units.
To minimise impact to motorists, this work will be carried out over two nights from 7pm to 10pm on Monday and Thursday.
Two 10-minute closures will be required per hour, a total of six closures per night, to allow the units to be lifted into place by a 100-tonne crane.
From Monday this crane will be used to carry out other lifts without major traffic impacts, although speed reductions will be in place and motorists may experience minor delays.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
