Bowlers from around the region and further afield battled it out on the West Tamworth greens on the weekend for the club's annual long weekend triples carnival.
The carnival drew a capacity field and saw some great bowls played, event co-ordinator Bob Hennessy said.
"It was really high class top bowling," he said.
"The scores were very close."
It came down to shots won to decide the winners with the home combination of Bob Cummings, Ron Barnett and Col Choyce edging out Ben Golledge, Nev White and Nick Gollege after both teams were undefeated in their five games.
"There were two games played on Saturday afternoon and three games on Sunday," Hennessy said.
Neil Whitten, Gary White and Scott Easterman finished in third, Gail Silcock, David Shorten and Dennis Silcock fourth, Ken Trow, Ron Trow and Mark Golledge fifth and another West Tamworth team - Ross McKinnon, Kevin Berry and Roxie McKinnon sixth.
The carnival was sponsored by Shaun Hamilton Funerals and offered a prize purse of $2500.
