The 25-year-old man hit a tree at Hanging Rock late Sunday afternoon.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and NSW Ambulance paramedics rushed to the scene after reports the man had injured himself in the incident.
The helicopter critical care medical team stabilised the man at the scene and treated him for back injuries.

He was flown to to Tamworth hospital and arrived at about 6:30pm in a stable condition.
It's the third incident in the area Westpac Rescue Helicopter crews have responded to at the long weekend.
