DELETE speared home through the middle of the field to win Saturday's $12,000 Noelene Martin Memorial Class 3 Handicap (1200m) at Tamworth.
The Jacob Perrett-trained bay gelding, a son of Arlington, was back at the rear of the small seven-horse field when apprentice Mollie Partridge pressed the go button.
And go the four-year-old did, mowing down his opposition to score a third career win by around a length from Cocky Rocky, who had led, while race favourite, Majestic Pedrille, was a half length away third.
John Hine owns Delete and had trained him for a while until ill-health forced him to send him to Jacob Perrett at Tamworth.
" I was given the horse," John Hine said after the win.
"Had a crooked leg."
He smiled at that because he admits "he still has a crooked leg".
"Won three for us now."
Jacob Perrett, who also broke him in, has enjoyed his time with Delete and "had some fun with him".
That might continue at Tamworth too.
"There's a nice race for him in three weeks here. It's a Showcase too so will be a big step up for him."
